Exciting New Discounted Self-Pay MRI Scanning Facility with Vista Health, Part of the InHealth Group
We're delighted to announce a new collaboration with Vista Health, one of the country's leading scanning providers with over 50 sites in the UK.
Why a prostate MRI?
- Provides a highly detailed view of your prostate
- MRI scans can reveal signs of prostate cancer, even before changes appear in PSA levels
- Is a non-invasive, quick, and pain-free procedure
GFCT Treatment Support are subsidising MRI scans making them a more accessible option, improving vital insights into prostate health. Our partnership brings the price down from £650 per scan, to £275 for a bi-paramedic MRI (detailed scan) and £450 for a multi-paramedic MRI (most detailed scan).
Our founder, Graham Fulford MBE, says of this new service:
"As someone whose prostate cancer diagnosis journey started with an MRI scan last October, I'm very excited by this new initiative. The cost of a basic scan through this discount will be less than the cost of each of two of the new bio-marker tests, and about the same price as a third.
If one of the new bio-marker tests indicates a man is more at risk of prostate cancer, the advice will be to get an MRI scan. This begs the question "so why not go straight to the MRI scan?" Which is a fair point.
I would recommend any man who has concerns, either because he's struggling to get his GP involved or has symptoms he's worried about, to seriously consider this option. We're covering the cost of not only the initial Vista GP consultation on the best scan for him, but also the follow up advice for anyone whose scan indicates further action is needed, making it an even more affordable option.”
A GP referral is needed before your scan. Your Vista Health GP will arrange this after your consultation, and recommend the most suitable scan for you.
